Basanti Devi College is providing barrier-free higher education to girl students for more than 64 years with a vision to empower girl students through holistic education. Qualities of empowerment like academic proficiency, self-reliance, and social responsibility are inculcated and nurtured. Along with academic programs, Skill enhancement programs like Personality enrichment, Employability skill development, Entrepreneurial skill development, Language skill development, etc., groom the students to become self-confident and independent. The IQAC of the College conducts Student Profile Mapping with the intention of identifying the socio-cultural diversity of the students and assessing their learning capacity. This profile mapping report is utilized as an indicator by the faculty to identify slow and advanced learners and students with special needs. Tutorial/Remedial classes are conducted for the slow learners. Bright students are encouraged to attend conferences; workshops and appear for paper presentations.

• In order to develop the Career & Employability Skills among students, the Placement Cell of the college organizes-Career counseling sessions, Online Training for various Competitive Examinations through Entry-in-Service Portal, Certificate course on Personality Development. Certificate course on Professional & Social Skills and Certificate Course on Know Yourself: An Introductory Course in Soft Skills Development.

Nari Shakti - Women Entrepreneurs:
The College creates an ecosystem conducive to women to become entrepreneurs, making them independent, capable, and economically-empowered. Adequate training and exposure are given to help students develop entrepreneurial traits such as leadership, perseverance, creativity, passion, values, and ethics. The ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurial traits is promoted through the Institution's Innovation Council, Skill development Programs and Management Initiatives. Thus, the Institution has created successful entrepreneurs.

The Entrepreneurship Cell (EC) was set up in the college in the year 2022 with the objective to develop an institutional mechanism to encourage, inspire & nurture the innovative ideas of young students and transform them into working models and start-ups. The Cell started its journey with Six Units namely- 1. Paper Recycling Unit, 2. Art & Crafts Unit, 3. Jewelry Making Unit 4. Tote Bag with Boho Painting, 5. Bandhani Painting & 6. Natural Soap Making. The existing entrepreneurship cell in Basanti Devi College was upgraded to the Institution's Innovation Council registered (IC20245436) under the Ministry of Educations (MoE), Government of India in the academic year 2023-2024.

Thus, we strive to provide unwavering support to our students even after they graduate, helping them find their own path, write their own stories, and overcome challenges that lie ahead. Through our efforts, we have witnessed remarkable transformations, achieving the goal of women empowerment with resounding success.
